The Rideau Environment Trust

The Rideau Environment Trust (RET) is an indentured charitable trust of the Rideau Environmental Action League (REAL), established in 1990. It has a charitable number granted by Revenue Canada and issues charitable receipts for donations.

The RET was created to provide the funds to:
• provide environmental education
• raise environmental awareness
• promote environmentally friendly practices
• undertake environmental enhancement projects.

Some of the REAL activities supported by the Trust are waste reduction projects, REAL’s newsletter, this website, workshops and conference attendance.

Four executive of REAL act as trustees of the Rideau Environment Trust: President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Membership Chair.

Donations can be made by cheque payable to “Rideau Environment Trust” and mailed to REAL, Box 1061, Smiths Falls, ON K7A 5A5. Contributions will be receipted promptly. Or click on the link below to donate online with a credit card and be issued a receipt immediately via e-mail.
