Donating to REAL

The Rideau Environmental Action League (REAL) has been active in our community since 1989. We gratefully accept donations of any size from residents, groups or businesses. As a non-profit, charitable, volunteer-run organization, a significant part of our revenue comes as contributions from our community, and every dollar counts!

REAL is a registered a registered charity with Revenue Canada, and can issue charitable tax receipts for income tax purposes.

How to Donate

By Cheque

Donations can be made by cheque payable to “REAL" or "The Rideau Environmental Action League” and mailed to REAL, Box 1061, Smiths Falls, ON K7A 5A5. Contributions will be receipted promptly.

By Credit Card

Donations can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex) through Canada Helps, by clicking on the link below. A receipt will be issued immediately via e-mail.

About Canada Helps: CanadaHelps is designed to make charitable giving easy. Through CanadaHelps.org, anyone can donate securely online to any registered Canadian charity. The amount donated will appear on your credit card statement as a payment to Canada Helps. (Note that Canada Helps assesses a 3.9% transaction fee on donations.)

By Cash in Person

Cash contributions can be made at the REAL Deal Store and Environment Centre, located at 85 William St. W., Smiths Falls, Thursdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m - 4 p.m. A receipt will be issued within a few weeks.
