Donate you used cell phones and help earn funds for REAL through PhoneBack Canada, a program of Pitch-In Canada.
Through this program everyone wins:
Our organization. REAL receives funds for donated phones.
Developing nations. Used phones are refurbished and resold at affordable prices.
The environment. Cell phones and their toxic components are kept out of landfills. Phones that are obsolete or damaged are broken down into their individual components to be recycled.
A drop box is located at The REAL Deal.
We can accept: any deactivated, hand-held cellular phone and their batteries.
We cannot accept: two-way radios, pagers, walkie-talkies, bag-phones or cordless home phones or phone accessories such as manuals, chargers and cases.
REAL is no longer raising funds by accepting used printer cartridges for recycling, but we do have a collection box at the REAL Deal and will see that they get to another organization for recycling.
Please note that many ink jet, laser and toner cartridges can be refilled, which will conserve resources, redirect waste from landfill, and save you money. Before you buy a new printer, make sure that the ink cartridge can be refilled.
