Municipal Waste Options Carleton Place
Garbage must have a waste sticker attached. Large items or appliance may be put out at the curb on collection day with two stickers attached.
The Household Hazardous Waste Depot in located just off of Patterson Crescent and operates Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon from June until September.
Carleton Place operates a curbside blue-box recycling program that accepts:
Effective June 2010. Plastics #3, #4, #5, #6, and #7 can be dropped off at the Carleton Place compost yard on Saturday mornings only, 8:00a.m until Noon, May to October, and at Waste Management in Blacks Corners, Monday to Friday, 8:00a.m - 4:00p.m, all year long. Scrap Metal. Take to the Compost Yard May to November, and to the Public Works Yard November to May. Items accepted include:

Composters are available from the Town. Leaf collection is available during late October and early November. Place your bagged leaves at the curb on your regular garbage day. Leaves should be in paper leaf bags and placed separate from your garbage. Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected. No garbage stickers are required for this service. Christmas Tree pickup is available between the first week of January and the middle of January. Please place your tree at the curb side on your normal collection day. No garbage stickers are required for this service.
