Municipal Waste Options Elizabethtown-Kitley
Residents of former Elizabethtown must transport their waste themselves to the waste site. Residents of the north end (former Kitley Township) receive roadside pickup. Both services are user-pay. Residents of the former Kitley Township receive roadside garbage pick-up services, for which an annual fee of $108.76 is added to their tax bill. Garbage and blue box pick up for residents East of County Rd 29 takes place on Monday. Residents West of County Rd 29 have their garbage up on Friday. See the full schedule. Roadside pick-up stickers are $10.00 for ten stickers, and the Waste Site tag (to take waste to the dump yourself) is $10.00 for ten bags. Tipping tickets are available at:
The Waste Disposal Site Located at 8468 County Road 7is a user-pay facility open to all residents of the Township. Residents need to purchase tipping tickets in advance as they are not available at the site. See waste site changes effective January 2010. Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Closed all Statutory Holidays. Residents will need to provide proof of residency with a tax bill or drivers license.
Residents of the former Kitley township receive bi-weekly recycling pickup. Residents of the former Elizabethtown must bring their recyclables to the Waste Disposal Site. Blue Box recyclables include:

Metal Recycling. A recycling depot is held at the Municipal Office in Toledo, 424 County Rd 29, on the second Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Only metal objects are collected at the recycling depot.
Elizabethtown Kitley residents can participate in the Household Hazardous Waste Days organized by the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, held annually in August or September. All items must be in their original containers. Materials accepted include pesticides, rat poison, pharmaceuticals, medication, cleaning fluids, battery acids, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, auto batteries, dry cell batteries, BBQ starter , motor oil, solvents, propane cylinders, paints, pool chemicals, ammonia and bleach.
