Hazardous Waste Collection Days 2010

Leeds - Grenville Municipalities

Two hazardous waste collection days are being sponsored by the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. These are for household waste only, ie. no business waste will be accepted.

Residents of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, and the Towns of Gananoque and Prescott may access the depots free of charge. Residents from the City of Brockville are not eligible.

Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 8:30 - 2:00 p.m.

Frankville/Toledo Patrol Garage, #331 County Road 29, Frankville

and

South Leeds Patrol Garage, #2741 Outlet Road, Lansdowne

Saturday, September 25, 2010

8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the South Grenville Patrol Garage, #2320 County Road 21, Spencerville

and

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the
North Grenville Patrol Garage, #720 County Road 44, Kemptville

Please:

  • Bring your waste in its original container. DO NOT MIX.
  • Be prepared to show some ID to proved you are a resident.
  • For your safety, transport the waste in the trunk of your car.

Items accepted may be:

  • Corrosive - batteries, drain cleaners and oven cleaners
  • Toxic - pesticides, rat poison, pharmaceuticals and cleaning fluids
  • Reactive - pool chemicals, bleach, ammonia and aerosols
  • Flammable - gasoline, paints, BBQ starter, oils, solvents, propane cylinders

Not accepted:

  • PCB contaminated waste
  • radioactive waste
  • explosives
  • commercial or industrial waste
