Garbage

North Grenville provides curbside collection for household and commercial waste throughout the Municipality. All waste placed at the curb must have a bag tag attached. Bag tags may be purchased from the municipal office or authorized vendors:

Tagged garbage, and larger household items (for the applicable fee) may be taken to the Kemptville Landfill Site at 190 County Road 44. Hours are: Tuesday 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Recycling

North Grenville has a curbside blue box program. Blue boxes can be purchased from the Municipal office or the Waste Transfer Stationl for $7.00 or $9.50.

Products are picked up weekly on a two week rotation schedule. Fiber products are picked up one week and containers are picked up on the alternate week.

What is collected the Container week:

#1 to #7 plastic containers
Metal and Aluminum Cans
Aluminum trays and foil
Glass bottles and jars

What is collected the Fibre week:

Boxboard
Corrugated cardboard
Newspapers, magazines, and household paper

Composting

A depot for leaf, brush and yard waste is available at the Oxford Mills Landfill Site, 699 Crozier Road.

Hours are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

All leaf and yard waste is to be taken out of plastic bags and placed in the appropriate pile. Brush and wood must be clean, unpainted, and non-pressure treated. No Stumps or trees of more than 6" in diameter will be accepted.

Residential composters are available at the landfill site for $45.00.

Hazardous Waste

North Grenville residents may participate in the free Household Hazardous Waste Depots organized for residents of the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville. In 2010 the dates are Saturday, August 21 and Saturday, September 25. The depot will be at the North Grenville Patrol Garage the afternoon of September 25.
