Regular visitors to the REAL Deal Reuse Store will be happy to know the store will be reopening this Wed. May 27.  Staff and volunteers have missed the activity at the store, too!  The store closed on March 14, one week before all non-essential services were asked to close their doors.  The store could have legally opened last week but we felt we needed a little more time to prepare.  Saturday May 16 and 23 staff were on hand to accept donations and electronic waste, but the the store was not open for sales.

The COVID pandemic is far from over, however, so we will be doing a few things differently to ensure everyone’s safety.  Most importantly, we ask that all customers, as well as staff and volunteers, wear a face mask while in the store, dome or yard.  If you do not have a face covering, please ask and we can provide one.  Donations are welcome to help cover the expense of ensuring everyone takes this important precaution against COVID 19.   Hand sanitizer is available at the customer and dome entrance.  

We ask that all donations, big or small, be taken to the back of yard, to the opening in the gate in front of the big green dome.  We we be setting incoming donations aside for three days before processing for everyone’s safety.

Please continue to practise social distancing within  the store.  If someone else is looking at a particular display, kindly go take a look at something else until they move on.  Customers will be asked to line up at the cash in a newly designated checkout aisle, that is marked out in two metre sections. To reduce the need for cash transactions, we will now accept debit purposes for any amount, and will accept Visa and Mastercard for the rest of the summer.  We continue to accept cash.

A full list of measures the store will be implementing is below.  Please do not enter the store if you are feeling unwell, or if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID 19. We would be happy to see you another day!

Store hours will be as before:  Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.   We hope to see you again soon!
