This year’s local foods dinner October 19 was an unqualified success!  The 130 guests enjoyed a fabulous meal by Chef Joanne Edwards, tasty appetizers and local beers and Ontario wines.  Music by the Tritones, silent and live auctions, and door prizes made for a great evening. 

We were particularly pleased to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of REAL.  In honour of the occasion, Katie Hoffman, REAL’s President,  gathered video clips of various people involved in REAL, and turned them over to Roger Sands of Arranel Studios.  He added additional footage of the REAL Deal Store and monarch garden, as well as some photos of REAL activities to create this little video, which premiered at our dinner.  In it you will hear how REAL came to be and meet some of the people who are involved in REAL today.

The video was followed by a toast to REAL’s success by Tom Foulkes, a major supporter of REAL.
