EPRA Recycling Depot

Electronics Recycling at the REAL Deal Site

The REAL Deal is an official Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) collection site for electronics waste. Unusable or outdated electronics you wish to discard are accepted free of charge.

e-wasteOnly electronic items are accepted so please consult the list carefully.  No “white goods” (washers, stoves etc.), appliances containing freon (such as refrigerators), or miscellaneous electric appliances (vacuum cleaners, coffee makers etc.) will be taken.  See list of the electronics accepted

Materials accepted:   amplifiers, audio visual players, camera, cell phones, computers and peripherals (keyboards, mice, memory cards etc.), copiers, desktop computers, digital cameras, fax machines, monitors, pagers and PDAs, portable computers, printers, radios, receivers, scanners, speakers, telephones and answering machines, tuners, turntables, televisions and video projectors.

Please note:

  • materials will be accepted during REAL Deal store hours only
  • we cannot resell computer components brought in by other residents
  • if your item works, and you would prefer it be available for purchase, you will be asked to sign a waiver allowing us to do so.
  • If you are donating several electronic items, one waiver will suffice.

REAL Deal Staff will be enforcing these guidelines to maintain our agreement with EPRA. Some questions answered.

Other Electronics Recycling Depots

We understand the REAL Deal location  and hours may not be convenient for everyone.  The EPRA operates collection sites across the province. For a full and current list, go to recycleyourelectronics.ca site and search by community or postal code.

The local depots below are a mix of EPRA and other depots. It is recommended that you contact these organizations directly, as their hours and locations may change.  Some area municipalities collect electronics from their residents  at their landfill sites.

Occasional one day or one weekend depots may be announced in the local media.
