REAL is seeking new board members to serve a minimum of a two (2) year term. Our board regroups at our June AGM, so this is a good time of year to give this some thought.
There is so much more that could be done to improve the environment, educate the public, and provide opportunities for environmental action in our community. It takes committed people and it does take time, but the progress we make can be very rewarding.
THE ROLE
- to serve as a member of a collegial body that is committed to its mission
- to provide input, experience and ideas to further REAL’s objectives
- participate fully in decision-making activities
- raise the profile of REAL in the community
MEETINGS
Our meetings are currently the third Tuesday of the month. In past years we have met by zoom, although meetings may return to the REAL Deal Store, Smiths Falls in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS
An interest in improving our environment. Must be at least 18 years of age and computer literate.
