Thirty to 40 people came to the grand opening of our Monarch Garden Party September 14. Tom Foulkes, a major financial supporter of this project, cut the ribbon. President, Katie Hoffman, and garden committee member, Donna McKenna, thanked the many people who contributed to make this 30th anniversary project a reality. Lemonade, ice tea and treats were served. Some tithonia seeds and a small quantity of milkweed and gaillardia plants were for sale, as well as some gently used butterfly themed items. We raised $363 for future improvements! Come see the garden anytime during REAL Deal store hours.
